1. Content Prohibitions
Sites that display ads must not contain any content listed under the prohibited category. These include:
1.1 Commercial Incentives and Financial Services
- Deceptively incentivizes users to click on a third-party offering that is not associated with the content on the Site.
- Provides incentives to users in exchange for clicks on ads.
- Promotes Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, free-money offers, or other questionable money-making opportunities.
1.2 Harassment, Hate Speech and Violence
Sites must not contain content that is hateful or discriminatory to any groups or individuals based on their race, sex, nationality, religious affiliation, age, or sexual orientation.
1.3 Children’s Sites
Sites must not target children under the age required for consent as per applicable law.
1.4 Adult Content, Nudity, Pornography, and Sexual Encounters
Sites must not contain sexually explicit or pornographic content.
1.5 Shocking, Offensive or Misleading Content
Sites must not contain content intended to shock, horrify, or mislead users.
1.6 Alcohol, Illegal Drugs and Paraphernalia
Sites must not primarily feature excessive consumption of alcohol or promote illegal drug use.
1.7 Firearms and Weapons
Sites must not promote or facilitate the sale or use of firearms or weapons.
1.8 Illegal Activity or Legally Questionable Activity
Sites must not promote illegal downloads, human trafficking, or the sale of illegal goods or services.
2. Content Restrictions
Sites displaying ads must not contain restricted content unless expressly approved by Criteo:
2.1 Gambling
Online or offline gambling content requires approval.
2.2 Alcoholic Beverages
Content promoting or advertising alcoholic beverages is restricted.
2.3 Tobacco
Content promoting tobacco-related products is restricted.
3. Ad Formats, Placements, and Guidelines
Sites must comply with specific guidelines regarding ad formats including:
3.1 For Native Ads
Native ads must be clearly marked as ads.
3.2 General Ad Placement Guidelines
Ads should not interfere with the user experience and must be placed thoughtfully.
3.3 Prohibited Interstitials
Publishers must not display disruptive interstitial ads.
3.4 Sticky Footers
Sticky footer ads must comply with specific constraints.
3.5 Incentivized or Rewarded Clicks
Incentivized clicks are prohibited.
3.6 For Video Ads
Video ads must adhere to guidelines to avoid disrupting user experience.

4.2 Apps Permissions
Criteo ads must only be displayed on apps from official stores.
4.3 Ads Outside an App Environment
Ads must not display on lock screens without clear user intention.
